Lutheran Hospice at Collier Hospice Center is part of SCL Health, a faith-based, nonprofit healthcare organization that focuses on person-centered care. Lutheran Hospice has supported terminally ill patients and their families with end-of-life care for more than 30 years and is one of the few hospices in Colorado to be continually accredited by The Joint Commission. Our inpatient facility offers 24 private rooms, dining and social spaces, an interfaith chapel, and bereavement support for families in one consolidated location.

Your day.

As an Inpatient Hospice PCT / CNA with us, you will know how to:

• Respond to patient care needs by assisting patients with hygiene care, obtaining vital signs, and communicating constructively, effectively and timely with members of the care team.


• Perform 12-lead EKG duties commensurate with the level of training received and competency.


• Apply, check and document restraints as directed by the RN or physician.


• Perform wound care, stoma care, and specimen collection.


• Perform equipment and tube care/management e.g. JPâ™s, hemovacs and nasogastric tubes, and Foley removal.


• Assist with patient transfers, admissions and discharges as directed and in compliance with the principles of safe patient handling.


• Order and maintain office and stock/supplies.

Your experience.

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

• Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program


• Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in state of practice


• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire (with prior approval)

Preferred:

• High School Diploma or equivalent


• At least one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting
