Seeking Talented Vascular Surgeon Chief Physician’s to Join the Section of Vascular Surgery in Ashville, North Carolina.
The VA Ashville Medical Center in Ashville, North Carolina is actively recruiting to fill a Board Certified Chief of Vascular Surgeon physician position in Vascular Surgery with board certification candidate in our growing Vascular Surgery section. Selected candidates will be asked to apply for a faculty appointment at Duke University medical schools. The candidate will be involved in the clinical teaching of medical students and residents. The selected candidate will report to the Chief of Staff. The selected candidate will work closely with the Vascular Surgery departments at medical centers in Durham, Fayetteville, and Salisbury VA Medical Centers in North Carolina.
The Charles George VAMC – located in Ashville, NC – is part of VA (VISN6), encompassing a main Medical Center, and three community-based outpatient clinics in Franklin, Hickory and Forest City a 23-county area of western North Carolina. The Ashville VAMC operates 119-bed acute care hospital beds and a separate 120-bed Community Living Center serving the western North Carolina area and portions of South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia. The CGVAMC has earned a 5-Star rating 6 consecutive quarters, top 10% of VA hospitals nationally, for 7 consecutive quarters.
You are invited to consider joining the team at the VA Ashville Medical Center, providing care for the world’s best patients while providing training and mentorship for residents and medical students. You should be board certified in Vascular and a US citizen with current US licensure (any state) with no history of revocations or suspension. Permanent Residents may be considered if no US citizen is selected.
Work Schedule: Full-time, with either a standard TOD or compressed TOD. Night and weekend hours are not currently scheduled, however, full-time physicians are employed on a 24/7 basis

Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the U.S.
Board Certification in Vascular Surgery preferred, but Board Eligibility may also be considered. Board certification in Surgery is also preferred.
