M Health Fairview has an immediate opening in the Outpatient Mental Health and Addiction service line for an RN Nurse Liaison in our Outpatient Adult Mental Health Programs. This position offers a unique opportunity to be on a multi-disciplinary team that includes nurses, psychotherapists, occupational therapists and a psychiatrist in an acute outpatient hospital setting. Program services are provided through the Partial Hospitalization Program, Dual Disorder Program, Adult Day Treatment and 55+ programs.
Services are located at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, West Bank campus. Employees are considered "mobile" and all services are currently offered via telehealth with an opportunity to either work from home or onsite. Some in-person services will return on-site in the future requiring some employees to be onsite at times.
This is a 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two week pay period), benefits-eligible position.
The registered nurse is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and providing professional nursing care for patients in an outpatient hospital setting. While following established standards and protocols, the registered nurse delivers care that is sensitive to the unique needs of a mental health population. The RN facilitates psych-education wellness groups and provides support to the psychiatrist. The nurse will maintain complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually look for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.
Nurse Liaison Role includes:
managing admission orders/admission process
coordinates treatment and discharge planning
completing required TJC physical health screen on all patients and providing appropriate follow up as indicated
coordinating completion of disability paperwork
assisting psychiatric provider with medication related issues or other orders.
when in-person services are provided a nurse must be on site to address or triage any physical health or medical concerns that may arise.

Current MN RN Licensure and BLS required; 1 year Behavioral experience preferred within last 5 years. Preferred: BSN, at least 1 year of nursing experience in behavorial healthor chemical dependenc
