The Bobst International Center was founded in 1997 so that physicians and patients from abroad could acquire appropriate referrals and expedited access to MSK. In addition to English, our staff is fluent in Arabic, Berber, Burmese, Cantonese, Portuguese, French, Hindi, Italian, Mandarin, Spanish, Swedish, Tigrinya, and Polish. We provide guided access to MSK for international patients and represent the MSK brand by making a positive first impression and shepherding patients through their scheduling experience. The Senior Care Advisor will improve MSK access by fielding incoming inquiries and requests and matching patients to the best possible service. We coordinate appointments based on diagnosis, geographic location, and preferences. We anticipate issues and remove obstacles for new patients by assisting with acquiring records and reports. You will: - Act as part of an administrative and clinical team to receive, assess, and bring to resolution all new visit (external and internal) requests for physician services within the International Center
- Screen requests according to Service and Physician criteria to ensure the most accurate scheduling
- Triage and assist with incoming calls from patients, caregivers, internal and external departments
- Distill complex information to foreign patients of diverse backgrounds
- Exceed patient expectations with your accessibility, knowledge, generosity, partnership, and support serving as a guide for patients, caregivers, and clinical leadership
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to perform a variety of tasks across the team
You have: - High School Diploma/GED, Bachelors degree preferred, or in lieu of a degree, 1-3 years of healthcare experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to handle acutely ill patients in stressful situations
Hours: Monday-Friday 9 am - 5 pm with the flexibility to work between the hours of 7:00 am and 7:00 pm as needed Fluency in Arabic strongly preferred, OR fluency in Mandarin preferred #LI-Post |
