Mercy Health Physician Partners has an excellent full time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible (must be Board Certified within five years of completion of Residency) Palliative Medicine – Lead physician to join an excellent team located in Muskegon, Michigan.
Responsibilities for this opportunity include:
ICU integrative services and inpatient consults within a beautiful, new ten-story hospital.
Provides support for development and implementation of organizational strategic initiatives related to quality and the overall patient care experience.
Co-Leads operational level practice/program improvements in collaboration with the Practice Leader and Operations/Clinical Director: Quality, Financial, Productivity, and Service.
Provides leadership for community based palliative implementation and integration with our ACO regional model and Hospice partner.
Ensure practice/program and adequate primary palliative education to residents, fellows and staff.
Actively involved with performance and support to our APPs.
Assists with developing and implementing policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services including schedules, adequate service coverage, call, vacation time, charting expectations, etc.
Collaborates under the palliative care regional medical director leadership; the ACO executive medical director, and Hospice and community based palliative care medical director.
This is a phenomenal opportunity for a physician leader with strong senior leader and regional medical director support. You will work with an Advanced Practice Provider, Registered Nurse, Social Worker, and in partnership with a robust Hospice organization to scale up our vision of community based palliative care. This position will be structured as a 0.2 administrative and 0.8 clinical FTE.
